Mashed Pumpkin and Sweet Potato

Making mashed foods on Paleo is quick, easy, and full of flavors. During the Fall season, pumpkins are plentiful and add some great textures, additional nutrition, and flavor to your foods.

Ingredients:

1 large chopped sweet potato

3 cups (approximately) of chopped skinned pumpkin

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

1 tbsp ghee/clarified butter

Directions:

Steam the sweet potato and pumpkin together until fork tender.

Place sweet potato and pumpkin along with all other ingredients into a food processor and mix well for about 1-2 minutes or until thoroughly smooth.

Add some toasted pumpkin seeds for garnish.

Makes about 5-6 1-cup servings.

Enjoy!
